14 Jun Is Clutter Negatively Affecting You?
For years I lived with too much “stuff.”
My shelves were full of shells from the beach and cool looking rocks, closets packed with clothes and shoes that I never wore, kitchen drawers full of unused gadgets…
I had no idea of the negative effect that all the clutter was having on me.
Imagine walking into a gorgeous hotel room. Ahh… simple, clean, crisp, elegant. You put your bags down, look around the room, and in an instant, RELAX.
That is the way that an organized and uncluttered space should make you feel – AMAZING.
And I want you to feel AMAZING every day.
Now, I completely understand that it is not reasonable to think that you can keep your home looking like a hotel room each and every day. Trust me, I have three kids!
But I do know that simplifying your stuff and being organized (having a home for all of your items) is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself.
Think of unorganized areas of your home: a disorganized closet, messy drawer, piles of clothes, cluttered basement or garage…
What do you feel when you think of these areas? Overwhelmed, irritated or frustrated?
So, you see, there is a clear connection between our physical surroundings and how we feel.
It’s time to start purging and organizing.
When I started to purge my last home, I got rid of two-thirds of what I owned.
PURE BLISS! I will never go back to cluttered living again.
The goal is to absolutely LOVE everything that you own. If you don’t love it, give it to someone who will.
The simple act of getting rid of “stuff’ changed my life. I know it can change yours too.
Take some action today and identify one area in your life that you can clean out and clean up. If you want to take it to the next level, hold yourself accountable to me right now and set a date that you will do it.
I’ve seen people’s lives transform from doing this. Job opportunities have opened up, relationships improved, finances increased…
So purge that stuff! You’ll feel so much better.
