19 Mar My Secret To Making Life Easier
If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you deal with some pretty stressful situations in your life.
At times, you may even get stuck in the stress, playing the situation over and over in your head and asking yourself, “Why is this happening to me?”
As much as I hate being in “victim” mode, unfortunately, I was recently there. On my way to work, I was running through a scenario in my head that most definitely was not serving my highest good.
Then, my first client of the day walked into my office and said, “I don’t want to be a victim to life any longer. I want to stop asking myself, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ and only ask myself, ‘Why is this happening FOR me?”
I sat there in awe.
Exactly the words I needed to hear to remind myself that all of us have the power to choose how we respond to life’s events.
When we ask ourselves the question, “Why is this situation happening FOR me?,” we empower ourselves to learn and grow from what life is presenting to us.
If you are struggling with anything at this moment, I want you to ask yourself, “What in the world could this situation (no matter how difficult it is) have to teach me? How can I learn from it?”
As Wayne Dyer says, “Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”
