12 Jul Get On The “NO” Train
For years, I would say “yes” to almost everything (favors for friends and family, events, business invitations…). Even though a part of me didn’t want to go or do most things, it was hard for me to say “no,” mostly because I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
After having my three children and running my own business, this saying “yes” thing was just not working. I was feeling completely overwhelmed.
One day, I was listening to Marie Forleo talk about getting on the “NO” train.
It’s about saying “no” to the things that don’t serve you and recognizing that in the long run, you’ll feel better and be way more productive.
So, right then and there, I decided to step on that train and start to say “no” to the things that were not necessary. I said “no” to the baby shower, “no” to the meeting with someone I didn’t want to be with, “no” to the business partnership that wasn’t right…
It was one of the BEST things I ever did for myself.
I now invite you to get on that train too. You’ll feel better and have more time to do the things that you’re meant to do.
If you’re ready, what can you say “no” to today?
Enjoy this precious day!
