04 Jul Is Your Morning Routine Keeping You Stuck?
It feels like yesterday that I was waking up to a job that I didn’t love, struggling to find enough energy to make it through the day, and lacking clarity on what I wanted for my future.
Believe it or not, changing my morning routine was one of the most important things that helped me gain clarity, change careers, and wake up to vibrant energy.
I would not have been able to leave my unfulfilling job and create the freedom and joy that I have now had I not held myself accountable to setting a positive foundation for the day.
Here are my top three tips to get your morning routine started so you too can benefit from increased clarity, energy, and productivity!
Tip #1. Wake up and meditate – Meditation will help you align with your highest potential, get clarity, and set clear intentions for yourself.
Honestly, it’s best to not even get out of bed. Have your meditation ready to go on your phone or iPod and pop in your earbuds before even getting out of bed. If you have kiddos like me, I recommend waking up just 10 minutes earlier to get it in.
If you haven’t done so already, download my free morning meditation to your phone and you’ll be ready to go tomorrow. Get it here. (Simply scroll down the homepage)
Tip #2. Drink a superfood green smoothie – If you want to feel energized throughout the day, it’s essential to start off with foods that contain the highest levels of nutrients. For years, I only ate two pieces of Ezekiel toast for breakfast – thinking that I was doing my body good. Little did I know that without proper protein and greens, I was setting myself up for energy crashes throughout the day.
After doing your meditation, make a smoothie. Here’s a link to my favorite. I drink it every morning! If you can, try to drink a smoothie and only eat high quality protein, if you get hungry before lunch.
Tip #3. Listen to something inspiring and motivating – What you focus on expands, so if you want to gain clarity and feel inspired, listen to something that will make you feel that way.
If you have a commute, go to your local library and take out a few CDs to listen to in your car or download some podcasts to your phone. Here’s a list of a few authors that I love: Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Tony Robbins, Louise Hay, Marianne Williamson.
Try this routine for a minimum of one week and watch your M&Ms (Magic & Miracles) increase in your life. I’d love to hear how it goes.
Remember, you deserve a life that you absolutely love. You can create it.
